Awful accident in Colombia
The video was presented by Noticas RCN, a news segment from Canal RCN of Colombia.The plane was operated by Patrulla Aérea Colombiana (Colombian Air Patrol), a non-profit organization that helps people with medical assistance on remote places of Colombia.There was 4 people on board: The pilot and chief of medical staff, another doctor, a little boy recently operated, and the mother of the boy. Karate Cop
Things run amok in the Station Watch-House when an unsuspecting sergeant taps Senior Constable Strangely-Browne on the shoulder. Strangely-Browne, a mauve belt in Fandango Karate, reacted intantly to the 'potential attack from behind' in the way of the dragon; delivering a flurry of front kicks followed by a massive roundhouse kick to the face. The video shown here is 300% slower than the original, thus allowing the viewer to witness the devastating moves blow by blow. The hapless sergeant has been edited out to preserve anonimity

This band is called "サクラシンマチ" - when you translate that, it's the name of a place "Sakura Shinmachi", but they use Sakushin.net for their URL, so I'm not 100% sure what they band/singer is called in English. Discomflambabulator
Promo video for the Discomflambabulator. For a class in high school, two teams were given a pile of junk and had 20 min. to make something out of it and come up with a way to market the product. My team taped everything together (and some additional stuff from around the room) and made a commercial for the Discomflambabulator. The idea behind the product is that it is a do all be all product. No matter what you wanted it to do, it could do it.

Underground Robot
This was a proof-of-concept piece that I made for a series pitch to Nickelodeon. They didn't buy it. The show would combine clay animation (the kids) with puppet animation (the robot and monsters). The kids could possibly have been live action too. Obviously in this test, only certain shots are finished, the rest is storyboards.

Large hornet on hand
This giant hornet was my pet for 7 months. Here she climbs onto my fingers and enjoys a snack of honey.
Note: This is not a Japanese giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia), but it comes really close in size. It is not a male, as someone claimed, it's a worker. Note the antennae and abdomen - males have an additional segment and a blunt abdomen, and long curved antennae. Their usual lifespan is merely several weeks, which is why I'm surprised myself. She isn't flying simply because she's busy eating. I caught her intending just to take some photos, but decided to keep her later. This is not in any way related to the cicada killer, it is a close relative of the European hornet Vespa crabro and the previously mentioned Japanese giant hornet. They never attack away from the nest. And yes, I have been stung by this species (but not this individual); it hurts somewhat; swollen hand, stiff fingers, but no lasting effect. She died naturally of old age.

Disco
Disco is about a guy's escape from something we don't know, but most of us can imagine. The basic motivation when one has a problem or fear is the runaway emotion. The film tries to express how emotions and physical activity interact during the action. When your soul is in struggle, you don't feel the physical part of life. We see the character from many angles, but we still feel as we were him at the same time. The music, the special effects, the industrial locations and the editing style help the viewer experience the escape. At the end we don't know, if running away was a sollution at all.

The Amazing Climbing Robot
RiSE is a small six-legged robot that climbs vertical terrain such as walls, trees and fences. RiSE's feet have claws, micro-claws or sticky material, depending on the climbing surface. RiSE changes posture to conform to the curvature of the climbing surface and a fixed tail helps RiSE balance on steep ascents. RiSE is about 0.25 m long, weighs 2 kg, and travels 0.3 m/s.
Each of RiSE's six legs is powered by two electric motors. An onboard computer controls leg motion, manages communications, and services a variety of sensors. The sensors include an inertial measurement unit, joint position sensors for each leg, leg strain sensors and foot contact sensors.
Future versions of RiSE will use dry adhesion to climb sheer vertical surfaces such as glass and metal. RiSE is being developed in conjunction with researchers at University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, Stanford, and Lewis and Clark University. RiSE is funded by the DARPA Defense Sciences Office.

Fashion Electronic Press Kit
Micheal McCollom has been a fashion designer for the past 20 years. He was recently approached by a fashion house who is interested in hiring him. Instead of submitting a portfolio of his work, he decided to send a DVD presentation of his designs. Once he pulled together all of the media, he arranged it according the what would make the most sense for his audience (the fashion house). Supermarket Dancing
Although the 1970's disco era may have been a little before their time, the two dance freaks seem to have an affinity for reviving outdated dance steps in inappropriate locations. Supermarket Dancing was an unplanned sporadic outburst of pure unchoreographed magic. This smash hit took America by storm and is perhaps the most sought after Cok Chop film released thus far. Despite it's unmatched production value the people at Cok Chop agree that the film is a low budget display of bad coordination, retarded artistic opinion and was done in poor taste.
